Francesca Tse

Creative

Francesca is a multidisciplinary creative. She has experience in politics, tech, finance, education and management. Francesca received her Bachelors of Arts from the University at Albany in computer science and political science. Her political internships include being a research coder in the Big Allied and Dangerous Project for Professor Asal and as a legislative assistant for Brooklyn's 42nd district assembly member Rodneyse Bichotte. Her computer science internships include being a teachers assistant for Introduction to Computer Science ICSI 201 and as a Digital Technology Leadership Program intern for General Electric. Below Begins her professional career post college. In Francesca's free time she also taken on roles for Sisters of thee Sun, Bodhi Bodega, Becoming Me and Parkside Wellness where she uses her skills in event coordination, marketing, artistic design and hosting to create events that serve her community. Francesca has a passion and love for bringing ideas, concepts and worlds to life through ideation, imagination and carefully planning each step of the way.

Software Support Engineer 

  • Manage the software support queue to replicate issues, identify the problem and make the code changes to fix the issue. Then follow the fix through the release process and let the support team know the issue is resolved.

  • Evaluate and develop fixes to items in the software debt backlog queue.

Technical Program Manager 

  • Developed project-based course content & curriculum in the industry’s most pertinent coding languages such as Python & Java.

  • Generated reports on students’ coding activities & exercises, progression in the course, and barriers that may be limiting their success using powerpoint and quickbase.

  • Improved retention rate in the tech program by 30% and increased 64% of student's GPAs.

Data Engineer 

  • Monitoring the data pipeline in production for the support team.

  • Development using technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Cloudera, Scala, Java, Big Data etc.

  • Writing scripts in python and SQL queries & resolving and tracking issues via Jira.​
